The Israeli delegation in Perth -TechConnectWA

I am happy to share some things that have recently happened here in Perth.

After the Israeli IT meetup, that took place three weeks ago, we decided to establish an association to promote hi-tech in Western Australia. That’s how TechconnectWA was born. More information about the association and its goals can be found on our website.

On February 19, together with the economic representation of Israel in Australia, we hosted the Israeli delegation that came to the Evoke Ag exhibition here in Perth. (https://www.evokeag.com/evokeag-2024)

About 50 participants attended the meeting, including representatives of companies from Israel, Australia, the Chamber of Commerce, local government, the Israeli embassy, and investors. The event was very successful, and we received very positive responses from the participants.

The special thing here was that for the first time, the Israeli delegation was welcomed by an association established by Israeli tech enthusiasts. We had to organize the event on very short notice, less than 5 days. It was not easy in such a short time to locate all the relevant people for the event. We were able to do this thanks to many people from the community who helped us.

TechconnectWA has more activities planned in the future.
